I would love to see some more 30's/40's/50's MUSICALS discussed!
"Meet Me in St. Louis" or at least one of the classic MGM Judy Garland musicals from when she was an adult. She was such an amazing entertainer and sometimes I think people nowadays ONLY know her from "Wizard of Oz" so might be cool to look at other roles.
"Swing Time"? "Top Hat"? "Shall We Dance"? A Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie...(maybe discuss those three at one time?)
Definitely "Singin' in the Rain'" Classic musical about movies.
One of the Busby Berkeley movies. These seem so weird in a lot of ways but they were super popular and it would be really interesting to hear you guys discuss one (or some) of them.
I also have a sweet spot in my heart for "Pajama Game." Maybe not as classic as those listed above but an incredibly entertaining movie.
Not a "traditional" musical at all but I would also definitely vote for "Nashville" which has amazing performances from Lily Tomlin and Barbara Harris (among many others).
Love the show!
