Uh oh, bad timing for Amy when discussing the racist depictions of hyenas, but commends Queen Latifah's performance in the movie... Queen's not in this movie. That's the voice of that farting daytime talk show host, Whoopi Goldberg.

This reminded me of Jamie Denbo on the Catwoman episode of "How Did This Get Made" slipping up and naming the wrong Hispanic actor, Jimmy Smits, when Benjamin Bratt was actually in the movie.

I'll just leave these here. Disney made straight to video sequels to almost all their movies. Beauty and the beast was not exempt from this.

Lion KIng.

I don't understand why you folks don't print out a synopsis and cast list of the films you review before you start the debate. Every episode contains a significant (not nitpick) error that gives the impression you have no authority to make a fair judgement on the film. Queen Latifa is not Whoopie Goldberg. Hyeneas are not a race. Scar did not go with Simba to the Elephant Graveyard. Character names escape you (the Warthog?). Beauty and the Beast has a sequel.

Why even review a film you barely care about?

Cast. Facts. Plot. Film history. Amy talks as though she's only bothered to watch Lion King once and was on her phone the whole time. Devin, good job calling out these fake outside facts.

I understand the show is designed around dialectics, but I wish both hosts could concede the merits of every film they review and bring valid criticisms that come from experience with cinema. This debate was full of bashing based on fundamental misunderstanding of the informati

Love both of these movies but I gotta go with Beauty and the Beast.
